Recently returned from an international outing in New Orleans and a record date in the Big Apple, dynamic and hip saxophonist / Multi-instrumentalist Oscar Lavën presents the exclusive premiere of a suite of freshly-inspired original music.
Laven has penned a suite of compositions for his newly formed cordless quartet, inspired by his recent time, spent visiting and playing with Musicians (the cats) in the Jazz capital of America, New Orleans.
This quartet sees the addition of Trombone as ‘the bone’ player often steps up to take the melody or solo which is a common famous Louisiana trademark. This is no throw-in-together thing, that being the case the absence of a cord player in this setting allows the music to go in any direction at any time, which makes the the journey both interesting and exciting!
Joining him are distinguished performers John Rae (drums), Patrick Bleakley (double bass), and Kaito Walley (trombone), making this a unique performance not to be missed.
