For the Wellington Jazz Festival WJC is pleased to present Tin Men and the Telephone.
This innovative Amsterdam-based trio continues to break new ground in the world of improvisation with the aid of cutting-edge technology. Throughout the years, they have crafted an impressive body of work that spans worldwide performances, collaborations with orchestras, workshops at conservatories, and tailored shows for music tech events.
Their most recent show is all about the fundamental essence of music: “It’s About Time?” They challenge our conventional understanding of time in music by drawing inspiration from the realm of cinema, seamlessly integrating the concept of musical flashbacks and flashforwards into their improvisations.
Featuring: Bobby Petrov (drums), Pat Cleaver (bass), Tony Roe (piano & electronics).
